Ataxia are the Detroit based DJ/Production duo Ted Krisko & Eric Rickers. In a relatively short time they had clocked up a series of releases on highly respected labels from Detroit legends including Kevin Saunderson’s KMS, Craig Craig’s Planet E, Stacey Pullen’s Detroit Love and Seth Troxler’s Play It Say it. After meeting Ataxia at Movement festival we felt it was time to bring their sound over to Europe for their debut release on 20/20 Vision - One LFO.

Ataxia are resident DJs at the coolest current spots in Detroit - TV Lounge and Marble Bar as well as creating a live show for the project with festival appearances at Movement, BPM, SXSW and Moogfest. Leading to URB magazine describing the outfit as, “yet another generation of electronic music innovators to come out of the Motor City.”

One LFO sees Ataxia deliver a raw slice of Detroit techno with a bass riff so heavy it conjures up the ghost of Joey Beltram’s - Energy Flash. This is the sound of after-hours at TV Lounge, Detroit style. Released over Movement week 2019 we felt it only fitting that the record stayed true to the city’s own producers and invited Luke Hess and Delano Smith to work their magic on reconstructing the track for the remixes. Luke Hess turns out a beautifully melodic slice of pure techno while Delano Smith produces a trademark slab of dubbed out deep house.

One LFO has received early support from Afrodeutsche, A-Future, Bobby., Burnski, Central Processing Unit, Conforce, Domenic Cappello, Futureboogie, Kosh, James Shinra, London Modular, Sync 24, Versalife, Voightmann & Z@P.
